My Mom and Dad arrived today, They were both amazed by how tall the boys have gotten from just a few months ago. In that moment I felt so blessed that they were getting to witness it all. Just months in between visits versus years makes the distance so much shorter. And us all feel […]

I feel the page resting on my fingertips. As I read, I find one of my fingers has slipped anxiously to the next page ready to turn on cue. The page feels soft and light and I find myself drawn to the texture of the paper. Coarse, yet smooth. Bumpy, yet flat. With every turn of […]

My life is brought to you by, that smile. That smile is what started it all. There is something magical that lives in the little dimples that surround the smile. Something I imagine his mother staring at for hours when he was a little boy. Something that gets me everytime. Yet it does really only […]

Jackson was sprawled out on the bed and I would bounce and bounce right next to him and he would giggle as loud as he could. Then it turned into a game. Bounce, bounce, a little tickle and a kiss. He thought it was great and giggled the whole way through. We must have done […]

I was looking through my lens for much of today, yet, it wasn’t pointed even once at my loved ones. Busy at a photography workshop, I ran out of day before I could shoot our story. Looking through a few images I snapped from the other day at the beach and this one really stuck […]

like a dream july17 |

It almost seems surreal. Like any moment I will wake up. Today was a day I had been waiting for and I never knew if it would ever truly be. When I decided to become a photographer, some seven years ago, I did so in a foreign country, far away from the comforts of home. […]

like a dream

my story

There is something about the way they look at you or that little giggle that gets you every time. That moment that tugs a little harder on your heartstrings. The moment that you tell yourself you are never going to forget. As a mother, I find refuge in the natural images of my children, images that bring me right back to that smile, giggle or moment.

Those images grow stronger as the years pass. At the moment the photo is taken I see it as it was. Years later and I am transported back to the moment and I feel like I can be right there again. I can even hear that little giggle that goes along with that look. To me that is the strongest investment I can make; being able to freeze time and return to it anytime I want.

I personally created Serena Nicole Studios with a mother's wish in mind. I wanted a custom photography experience to capture all of those natural looks, smiles and giggle that will transport YOU in time. Looks that are carefully crafted by a fluid and natural portrait experience that is child centered. My photographic style is very tender to encourage every one to feel comfortable so they can show me their style all their own.

I see your family as I would want to capture mine. Those looks between a mother and child, a finger wrapped tightly around yours. Candid expressions that showcase what makes your family unique and all your own. So that years later you can remember more than what you looked like but what you felt like too.

Let’s Get to know each other
