Monumentous may be an understatement! Months in the making, today’s potty party has been a huge success! Jackson could not be a better sport and has jumped this life hurdle with great aim! Pun completely intended. I have officially read  Night at the Museum over 30 times today and as I type I can hear Matt […]

I pulled the covers down and squinted to see the clock. 7:24. I looked to the right only to see Matt wasn’t there and then I listened and heard chatter in the other room.  So I snuck around the corner and I just watched and listened. It was such a sweet moment. Jack was just […]

“Mom, you help me with my bacuter game?” It all started off cute enough but before long my computer became ‘your bacuter’! You have taken over my electronics one by one but the giggles and joy you are having trump it all. You played a game on the computer for the first time yesterday and […]

The days have been cold and long. Winter is here and I miss my outside world. There is just too much time spent inside for me and so this morning I just couldn’t break the crabbies.  You came over and cuddled and laughed with me as we watched one of our favorite shows…and those crabbies, […]

On this snowy January morning I can not help but want to transport in time back to this sweet family on a beautiful fall morning in Virginia. The setting couldn’t have been more perfect. When I arrived in Virginia the day before, my host (and dear friend) Shana and I went out scouting for my […]

The warm water gushed while the bubbles piled high in the tub. I plunked you into the bath and instantly you laid all the way down until your chin touched the bubbles and told me “I loooove baths” in the sweetest of voices. We were hiding out from the cold wintry day outside and I […]

wrinkly little toes

my story

There is something about the way they look at you or that little giggle that gets you every time. That moment that tugs a little harder on your heartstrings. The moment that you tell yourself you are never going to forget. As a mother, I find refuge in the natural images of my children, images that bring me right back to that smile, giggle or moment.

Those images grow stronger as the years pass. At the moment the photo is taken I see it as it was. Years later and I am transported back to the moment and I feel like I can be right there again. I can even hear that little giggle that goes along with that look. To me that is the strongest investment I can make; being able to freeze time and return to it anytime I want.

I personally created Serena Nicole Studios with a mother's wish in mind. I wanted a custom photography experience to capture all of those natural looks, smiles and giggle that will transport YOU in time. Looks that are carefully crafted by a fluid and natural portrait experience that is child centered. My photographic style is very tender to encourage every one to feel comfortable so they can show me their style all their own.

I see your family as I would want to capture mine. Those looks between a mother and child, a finger wrapped tightly around yours. Candid expressions that showcase what makes your family unique and all your own. So that years later you can remember more than what you looked like but what you felt like too.

Let’s Get to know each other
