This school year I followed my heart. I couldn’t find the right school so I created one. I wrote a special social emotional curriculum and converted our garge into a full-on preschool. It has been an amazing journey with you. I was able to be there with you each step of the way. Helping you when you felt nervous, encouraging you to push and grow, and giving you the words when you couldn’t find them.
You reached goals faster than we all expected. Growing faster in skills than your age. It was the perfect stepping stone between being at home with me and moving on to preschool.
It is exciting for me to say that you have outgrown our program. You are ready for a classroom without me by your side and to soar all on your own.
Before you go, I must say how thankful I am to have been able to watch these little moments with you. To see you laugh when your friends made you giggle, to watch as you learned to share and find the words when you needed them most.
But it is time. Time for you to grow on…
The friends that joined us were so compassionate and patient. They were happy to play along and learn and sing with us.
I will say this has been my most rewarding teaching experience. Who would have known all those years in college and in the classroom were all just training for when I met you. It is all part of the perfect plan. I love being able to witness it all coming together.
